A popular breakfast chain is expanding once again in the Louisville market, this time off Brownsboro Road in the Holiday Manor Shopping Center.
Florence, Kentucky-based One Holland Restaurant Group recently filed plans to the Louisville Metro Government for a new First Watch at 4948 U.S. Highway 42.
Dillon Adams, president of One Holland, said the group is leasing the land from Kaden Companies and plans to build the new 4,200-square-foot building from the ground up. The property is home to a former Arby’s restaurant, which Adams said they will demolish.
The group has yet to select a contractor for the project. It’s working with commercial real estate firm CBRE, which brokered the deal. An in-house architect at One Holland will do the design work. Adams said it is difficult to determine a total cost of the project until a contractor is solidified.
Like other First Watch locations, this site will include both an indoor and covered outdoor seating area. Adams said the restaurant is set to employ 50 people.
The group is expecting to start construction before the end of the year, according to Adam. The anticipated opening date is in early 2022.
Adams said there is at least one more First Watch in the works for Louisville but declined to give specifics about where it will be. The group owns 12 of the breakfast chains in Kentucky, with 6 of those in the Louisville area.
It also runs several other franchises across the state, including Skyline Chili, Dunkin’ and LaRosa’s. First Watch is a Florida-based company with over 365 locations across the U.S.
